GAME: EUROPEAN MOOSE

Hunting Areas: Hossa, Juntusranta, and Kuusamo
The hunting camp is approximately 200 miles from Oulo airport.  The Moose population in these areas is the highest in Europe.  The trophy size is very good for European moose (separate SCI-species) and the chance for a nice bull is very good.  Hunting is conducted with dogs and drivers, by sitting at spots that the Moose feed or stalking behind the Finnish “moosedog” (the traditional Scandanavian hunting method). These hunts are very interesting, because you are hunting with the locals. For them, this hunt is a very important and traditional event that they are sharing with you.  Lodging is in hunting houses or hotels.

If the hunt is successful within the first days, we arrange a trip to the polar circle and the home for Santa Claus – Rovaniemi!
